Considering your wedding stationery is an important part of the wedding planning process. It is probably something you will want to start thinking about early on, but won't finalise until a few months before the big day.
The stationery that you choose can do lots of things on your day. It can welcome, guide, entertain and provide a bespoke style that represents the couple getting married. Below is my guide to helping you choose exactly what you need, as well as what you want for your wedding.
Start with the essentials -
Initially, thoughts will turn towards place settings when you are looking at wedding stationery options. This is a standard part of the stationery package for all weddings. With 60 - 100 guests at the average wedding, that's a lot of people who all need to know where to sit. However, just because everyone has place settings doesn't mean they have to be boring, or the same as everyone else's. We can work with your wildest dreams on every item of stationery you would like for your wedding and place settings are no exception to this rule.
The next item, which sits alongside this will be a table plan. Again, we can and have created these in a whole range of different designs, styles and with unusual materials.
To top this all off, table numbers are your next consideration within the essentials list for your wedding stationery. Whether you are looking for hand illustrated modern calligraphy numbers or laser cut words, we can make it all.
To make this part of the planning process easier, especially if you have left it all to the last minute, we have a ‘good to go’ range which has been created to provide you with all the essentials in a cohesively styled theme. We have 6 design options to choose from meaning there will be something to fit into everyone's wedding style. This package can also be turned around in just four weeks if you happen to have left it until the last minute.
If you are looking for something a little more bespoke, then lets chat! I am always super excited to hear my clients ideas and love to get creative with whatever you dream up. All your place setting, table number and table plan needs can be created to suit your bespoke requirements.
Adding in the extras -
So you have your basics, everyone knows where they will be sitting at your wedding and how to get there. The navigation of your guests to their seats is complete in the most beautiful way!
Now there are the added extras to think about. Signage that evokes fun and entertainment for your guests. How about a welcome sign? This can include a quote or message from the wedding couple to welcome their guests. It can really help to add some personality into the day and provides a great starting point for your guests to anticipate what is to come.
Other signage that is popular is guest book signs, labels, and information for sweet tables, ‘bride’ and ‘groom’ laser cut signage for the backs of the wedding breakfast chairs, and any other notes, messages or guidance you wish to display for your guests to ensure they get the full experience of your wedding day.
Pièce de Résistance -
These are the final pieces which will make your day uniquely yours. They will add the finishing touches, the wow factor and the personality to your wedding. The favourite of these elements is our bespoke scrolls. They include personal messages, lyrics or poems which have a special meaning to the wedding couple. This should be your final consideration to add in the statement elements to your wedding styling.
